Parking lots in my 'hood are filled with mostly grey-scale cars. My red Wrangler is pretty easy to spot in most lots. :L3000:

Does it make a noise like a big block V8 when you turn the key?
Only if it uses KT-150 tubes. 6L6's and EL-34's sound more like a Honda Civic with a fart muffler. 🤣

Lisa and I both hate colorful cars (LOL, riiiight).

So yeah, I get it.

I also like silver (on our products).

But we also need to make something that's reliably producible. Something even Apple is learning with the new Midnight-colored Airs: https://9to5mac.com/2022/07/19/midnight-macbook-air-easily-scratches/ -- full disclaimer, the same thing happened on my black Surface Pro.

Jason, you are one cool dude.

I love how the left bottom corner says "THANK YOU BALDER, DK"

Anytime I see baldr mentioned I kinda smile inside.

Mike (Baldr) actually did an estat amp similar to Xap, like, 4 decades ago. He also always wanted to have a "Zap Electronics" company name. Hence the thanks, and the homage.

Mike never got to production on it either. To quote him, "too Fringe" (though I liked that series).

Waiting to see if they (the Schiitites) reveal any thing new that I want. I do not really need any thing audio as I have enough now. But audio for such as I is never about what I need. It is about what I want. If it looks good and performs well and I like it and I can afford it (after saving up!) then that is all I need to get what I want.

I am well aware that I can not hear any difference on just about any thing except perhaps speakers and headphones and even those must first pass the litmus test of looking good. To me! :beerchug:

I think I might pay to see an audiophile version of Mad Max. Instead of guzzaline it would be ? @bcowen as Mel?
LOL! That would be repulsive to audiences. All of them. 🤣

Nice color! It reminds me of the "Grabber Blue" on some Mustangs.

Thanks!
Audi call this color "Turbo Blue". Gotta love marketing names...

Precisely.

Which is why I went with this:

I went with a white for my car. I just want it to be visible from as far away as possible.

Silver Schiit looks better. I tend to go for black on stand alone stuff, Jot 2 with card. Yggy is black but was used and a bargain.

I moved Yggy out of the speaker system and put BiFrost there with Lokius next to Freya+, all silver. Yggy is on the desktop with FV and neighboring OTC tubes. I move back and forth depending on the mood.

I was very happy to see FV was only $50 more for the silver, I didn't want to pay $100 but the silver looks great.

My white subaru was surrounded by like 5-6 white clones after a movie. Happily, it has a stand out roof rack!

Around here, we call it "almost Carolina" blue. But it's a far cry from Duke blue, which is a very good thing. 🤣
