That's quite an expression of friendship. This forum is lucky to have the likes of @bcowen and @Paladin79 as participants.

No one ever seems to put this much craft into solid-state gear, <grump>,<grump> :)
Here’s one I made earlier.

So, I thought this might be worthwhile posting. What having a very nice, if somewhat hot and humid, vacation in Charleston with my wife, we stumbled on this guy. He makes one of guitars from reclaimed wood. I almost bought one and I haven't played for 30 years and was terrible. Apologies for the book of face link, that is where most of the best photos are.

Thanks for posting this @bevanc. It looks a lovely guitar.

I didn't look at the other pics on FB as I don't touch any 'Social Media'.

Having spent a small fortune on audio gear, let alone the cost of a full house renovation over the past 9 months, I really should avoid buying another guitar.....

I started to build a couple solid state amps but lost interest, I prefer tubes at this stage of my life. My audio experience started with tubes and it will end that way. (I did spend maybe forty years working with and listening to solid state.)

After a couple other projects, I hope to build a final headphone amp for myself that might be prettier than the @bcowen amp. I just had a large limb fall from a honey locust tree on my property and I may incorporate some of that. This is honey locust on my personal amp.

I am hoping that @AudioGal is experiencing audio nirvana, as she works her way through her extensive Pink Floyd collection.
For the few Floyd fans who might not have heard - Animals will soon be released in multiple formats, a 2018 stereo remix by James Guthrie. The big set has LP, CD, Blu-ray and DVD (w/5.1 on those last two.) And a book. Or the LP, CD or BR can be bought a la carte. And Acoustic Sounds will do an SACD. Sadly, no bonus material.

What?!? No!!! But seeing as that's likely not possible, I won't fret too much. 🤣

Just wait, it will happen. 🤪 Twice as many tiger stripes, pots, and rca jacks. I may even build it sideways.😀

Thanks. Missed that. Will watch for it now.

My previous answer could have been better. If you happen to have a solid state amp, hopefully DIY, I would entertain building a custom cabinet for it at no charge once I finish some other projects. I would need to see photos first of course before I commit to something that might not work well. If you have no such amp I could of course figure something out.

Now as far as @AudioGal and her new FV amp, I will send her a set of LISST Octal devices as well as adapters that go from 6sn7 to 6922. I ran them in a Mjolnir and they worked quite well. She knows enough about tubes and electronics that I worry very little about sending her most anything. I am gifting her a charcuterie board because I know she likes purpleheart wood. I found a wonderful piece of rainbow poplar in my wood stack and immediately thought she might like it as well.

Hell Ya, and maybe tiger stripes, leopard spots and mouse ears. I may use a lot more of the animal kingdom.
Heck yeah, leopard spots! For inspiration...
