Those 6418 tubes don't even get warm. The heater voltage is 1.25 volts. Schematic here.

Two of my favorite Coaster amp builds. A flying saucer with LEDs that changed color and matched the beat of the music, and an 8 ball.

lol you will love it and for the price that GE tube is amazing!!! I am listening to one as we speak.😃

I am just back from letting three renters sample some high end bourbons and naturally I had to partake as well. No power tools for me for a couple hours. The ladies seemed to appreciate EH Taylor the most but I probably influenced them.😁

I also had a city inspector there whom I may have invited to join in. The list of repairs I need to make is much smaller than past years. 🙄

It was a she as well and she joined in after the inspection, she went over what I needed to fix during drinks. I generally do better with the female inspectors for some reason. Oh at one point she asked the renters if they knew of any issues but they were a bit buttered by then. 😜

I will work on your Tyr stands soon honest.😁 I have extra tiger maple arriving soon just in case.

Rent was not due till the first, and they pay through PayPal like clockwork. I used to have to drive over and pick up an envelope stuffed with a lot of small bills but this is a different group, no stripper singles.😉

This is how certain movies of a certain disposition (ones that are three letters with an X in them) tend to start!

This is obviously part of your master plan!

No singles? Where is the fun in that?

I have a couple stories but this is not the time or place.😃 Back to music, strong coffee, and hiring some workmen.

I would expect nothing less from one of the "Most interesting man in the (audio) world!"

Only good use I ever found for sorbothane was as a footer under a particularly noisy aquarium filter/pump…. Aka, good for Fisch-Schiit.
Sorb of high Duro in the shape of fender washers are useful for me in increasing leg length of equipment. But if you need it to shape or stick to something? Meh or worse.

Add: I increased the height of the shrimpy woefully short/tiny feet of my Rag 1 using Sorb,
