I don't use the Qobuz Music App on my Mac mini, but when I tried I could never get the multimedia keys to work. Now I just use Roon with Qobuz setup in services. Roon works with the keyboard multimedia keys & an apple remote if you have one.

Does anyone else have the “perfect mid-fi threat” of HD-6xx & HE-5xx? I have both with balanced cable fed by Mjolnir 2 & Gungnir MB, and Pi2AES and I’m very happy.

I do find myself catching occasional upgraditis, and mostly I manage to buy a set of tubes and sell a set of tubes simultaneously for basically a cost wash, and it’s working very nicely for now. I do find myself wondering what $1000 cans could possibly sound like, but without a meet to go to in this crazy time, I just try to stop worrying & wondering.

Mostly loving this set up.

The only reason the HD600 series of cans are considered "mid-fi" is because of the price. There is nothing mid-fi about the sound and many people say they will scale up with better gear.

Yes my experience too. I have a HD650 at home (don't use it much) but my friend brought over the HD800S and ZMF Verite Close and I love them with Mjolnir 2. However my fav headphones with MJ2 are He1000se, LCD-3f and LCD-X in that order. My son's Arya sounded great with my MJ2.

Headphones are very personal. There will always be differing views and everyone are entitled to their choices.

I'm just thinking... my previous Eikon, Atticus and Verite LTD Open would have sounded great with MJ2. I should get another Verite Open again.

The HD600 and HD6XXs both scale very nicely with better gear. Ive got a fulla 3, magni 3, Asgard 2, and Rag 2 to support that scaleability claim.

I prefer the HD600s over the HD6XXs in most cases, but the HD6XXs really sing with Rag 2 and balanced Black Dragon cables. But those cables new, cost as much or more as the HD6XXs.

The Focal Clears are a nice step up from both the 6XXS and the 600s, but its not a whole new world. Glad I got in my Clears for 900, not sure they are worth 1500 as an upgrade vs the 600s and 6XXs
