As has been posted before, they are waiting for the demise of Windows 7 before they release Unison.
Let's gather our cyber pitchforks and hasten said demise!

Wanted to add to the racks of Schiit on display here. I'm using an IKEA KNARREVIK night stand i bought for $9.99. I just holds the Vidar with nothing sticking out of the back except wires. I bought two so I can drill extra holes to add a second shelf and get the DigiOne off of the floor. It's minimal and seems to fit Schiit's industrial design philosophy.
Thanks for the info. Just ordered 2 pieces for my Vidars.

Still don’t understand why they must wait until the EOL of W7
People can upgrade to W10
I don’t think Schiit buyers have any problems with that.
Most players don’t use W7 anyway.
Seems a lame excuse for delay to me...
Schiit is run by engineers. Waiting for EOL of Windows 7 is the proper procedure decided upon. Every good engineer must channel his inner German.

It boils down to this -- if MS no longer supports Windows 7 then Schiit doesn't have to either.

I dunno. I like vinyl, I like tubes, I like pre-GMO food, and at work I'm running an early 1990's Dell with Windows 98. Well, I did upgrade it from Windows 95.
It just works (most of the time).

I do miss the Eno start up chime for Windows 95.

Why should Shiit have the same support window as MS???

W7 is end of live already. Just not end of extended support.
Again to use this as an excuse to postpone while your customers are waiting for a better than gen 5 USB interface is lame. Especially as the gen 5 is not all that good.

I guess some people will try to keep using tungsten lightbulbs too.

Using W95 however is useful if the sw you use is not made for a higher W version.
But that is another issue altogether.

I know everyone hates this discussion, but no, no human or humanoid can hear beyond 16/41 CD quality. It's snake oil beyond it.
16/44.1 is dithered. 24/96 is not. Yes, you can hear differences. YMMV.

No Windows 10 driver for my old raid device, won't upgrade until i buy a new device, I don't expect any vendor to support win 7 now that it is close to EOL

I also don't see a problem with releasing Unison before the extended support ended!
If Schiit never promises to support W7, where's the problem?
If you say, anyway we'll have the support problems because people tried to get it work with W7, then this is a reason. BUT W7 is already EOL, so nobody sane would expect a hardware driver for in IT terms an antique operating system.
With this logic these same people would also want support from Schiit if W7 ended the extended support.
Anyway, I don't think logic can help here. Schiit for sure just wants to be on the safest side possible, because I guess that the biggest part of support isn't done for the smartest people. It's most of the time a "Oh, I must have overlooked this!". (And also for these cases I'm happy to ask my " stupid" question. :dt880smile:
