I had to google curmudgeon to find out that you are as far from the truth as you could possibly get.
I think it is best you realise you don`t like it here and that you stay on the other side and obsess over S/N ratios with people who actually appreciate it.
The same discussions, the same people but no noise to get your panties in a twist.( I go there to sometimes but I find it a bit dry for my taste.But hey...to each his own. Right?)
Why come over here and be so frustrated and unhappy all the time?

I tend to agree that the Rok would make the biggest difference. But now I just have a strong feeling that it has to be in line for an update. It simply needs a remote (and a unity gain setting, Jason?). At the Schiitr I tested it with my LCD-3s. Sounded absolutely magnificient. Compared to my Gumby/MjolnirLisst stack it was full of exquisite detail, especially the thumping bass. Across the spectrum it was like a veil was lifted. Incredible.

I am not convinced that it is up for an upgrade based on reading Jason's posts. There may be more models coming but does not mean there will be a Ragnarok 2. There is no way to know and it is a shaky assumption. You may be waiting for a while. Ragnarok is certainly not out of date.
