found these for 10$ at a thrift store, has anybody heard of them, they are large, white, with dials on the ear-cups. It came with its own carrying case. They dont sound that good out of my ipod, but ive never even heard of the brand. Dose anyone know what they are, apparently the brand is RMS, made in japan, 8 ohms, model HP-15. I done really know what the functions of the dials are, they work like a search know on a radio. Only if the needle are in some positions will either ear-cup make sound.

they look like a pilot headset..never heard of them, but look like an old school koss or panasonic.

My guess is its probably running cardboard drivers, and even if it doesn't, its probably not worth much more than being a vintage novelty.

Could they be the next Phonodome?

If they sound terrible, you should experiment with different drivers in them. They're way cool and so is the case. Definitely worth $10.

Those are volume controls on the cups I'd imaigine, and it sounds as if the potentiometers are dirty and/or worn. They remind me of some Pioneers I had.. huge white cups, so big I couls kind of sense them in the far reaches of my field of vision...

Before i tare these apart (for my first mod attempt), anyone have any thoughts on them? The best way to describe them is like listening to my HD650s, but if they were on the other side of the room.
