Rumor: New Sennheiser Flagship to be surfaced ........ soon

Orpheus is sellign for 20K with the amp or more. if they come with a limited edition poproductt will sell out

If it is limited edition then 15K makes sense. (supply & demand)
But since this is supposed to be the successor to the HD800 (which is not limited edition), then it shouldn't be limited edition right? (because that would make absolutely no sense...)

I am not sure it is the successor to the hd800 nobody from Sennheiser has said that,

in the Sony MDR-Z7 thread, there were rumours that Senn will come out with 2 new designs next year, an electrostat and a HD800 successor. since it won't be an electrostat according to you, i think people (myself included) are simply assuming it will be the HD900

No new HD800 replacement will come. That is what Sennheiser told the dealer where I bought my HD800.

At CES 2014, the people at the booth said there was not going to be a new flagship in 2015. Maybe they didn't know at the time or they didn't want to leak anything. Not sure.

You know what that is... DAMN good buisness. Why on Earth would Senn Hesier Admit to a replacement for the HD 800, sales would like plummet! No one wants to buy the worlds... second best headphone, they'd just get a Beyer T1 and wait for the new King that and telling your Dealer he's getting what is now an outdated headphone would well not inspire a lot of confidance

the HD 800 is a statement, anything to undermine that should and would be kept well under wraps

that and I'm SO glad the Thread died after my HYPE TRAIN post <3 Totally taking cred for killing this thread

That's a good point. That's probably what happened.

I guess everything is bound to happen, maybe even a revamp of the same HD800..
As far as the rumor thing goes I believe that it is usually enterprises policy not to let voices run, but that doesn't mean that something might be cooking

Part of me is hoping there won't be an Orpheus successor.

It would really suck if I spent a small fortune on the original, only to have another dream headphone dangled in front of me.

did not even know they had a stock black headphone for the hd800. The regular one is here in the UKhttp://www.amazon.co.uk/Sennheiser-HD800-Circumaural-Dynamic-Headphones-Black/dp/B00NDAUHWA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1416833298&sr=8-1&keywords=sennheiser+hd800. Hope they do have an improve model coming out but I am still keeping mine
