That one's okay but bettered by the...
Alpha Dog
Paradox Slant
LCDX
TH900 or a used D7000 if you like V-shaped sound.
Heck, I'll take the Momentums for pop music over the HD600.

The now discontinuid he500 was a master in more brighter pop music and agressive sounding rap music...BUT..u had to find the right amp!! It was perfect for very long listening sessions.
My limited and rare Code-X excells in that also, on my PaG :D

Thanks SO much for the link to this song, it sounds awesome... Listening to i on my HD 558, can't imagine it with the Hd800 and the Sonett 2.. That should be my goal in life to buy that setup :D

Random question, but do you know other songs, like this one, which sounds as good? Please

As 2015 is Sennheiser's 70th anniversary, a strictly limided special model is pretty certain, though I wonder if it is really going to be an electrostatic HE90 successor in the 50k USD range.

The whole album is worth a listening. And it sounds great from HD600/700 too. No need to go from the already very good HD558 straight to the top.

Got a new HD600 yesterday. Burning them in on my head with London Grammar right now. Btw an epic can, bought it a second time.

I just want the HD850, which does to the HD800 what the HD650 did to the HD600. :)

This x 1000

I just want a little richer, wamer sounding HD800.

You could add some resistance to the headphone out jack which causes a richer sound.
That's, by the way, just what Sennheiser did to the HDVD800 - adding a ~50 Ohms resistance.

The bass on the HD800 is just fine, maybe the low bass needs a little boost but the bass isn't the problem at all. It's the damn high frequency peak.

What's funny is that if you take the HD650 and the HD800 and you average them in the 5-10kHz area, the result is an almost neutral headphone. :)

Take care to replace the pads every year or so. Mine on my hd650 are knackered and it sounds **** now.

BTW liking the London Grammar props. Im not mad into them but they do have that sonic toffee slickness so in vogue atm which is nice to listen to. Let's keep the momentum going
and wipe Norah Jones and Lana del Rey off the audio testing map ;P
