Which DAPs?

Trying to get a sense of what you're currently hearing, and whether you're looking for specific changes/improvements, or if you're just looking for 'better'.

Personally, I've put a ton of money into my desktop rig, but I'd have to admit (quietly, to myself, when no one else is around) that my desktop rig is only 'somewhat' better with most of my cans than my Cowon Plenue II Mk2 or Hiby R6 Pro. Both have enough power to drive all my cans except HE-6SE, and both sound very good. I will say that Yggy ==> DSHA-3F ==> RAD-0 sounds pretty close to 'end game' to my ears :)

I'm looking for a new dac/amp combination that would go well with my rad-0's. What do you suggest?
Take a look at the Bricasti M3. I own it. It replaced a Qutest and Milo combo.
the M3 is fully balanced differential with a lot of power. Mine has the remote and network card. It is connected to my network and steaming from my Roon server. My RAD-0 sound fantastic out of the balanced output.

Is this a bright headphone? Any peaks in upper mids or treble? Harsh sounding fatigue? Or is it dark? I want a dark headphone, cost no object
Let me put it this way.... I was pretty much decided to buy the Stellia when I had the chance to audition both next to each other our of the Bricasti M3. It took me the whole 5 minutes to change my mind and called Alex next day to order mine.
As @nxxo says, it is not dark but it is not bright either. It is just perfect to me too. It is detailed but with warmth in the sound. It is a great complement to my Utopia. Those two are the ones that get the more headtime frm my collection.

I view the utopia to be excellent but way too bright for me, I'm searching for a dark headphone with no treble or word upper mid peaks, a comfortable listen, yet still good detail, cost no object

That's why I said is a complement for the Utopia. It is different to it in that regard.

You should post your question as a separate thread on the "introductions, help and recommendations"-forum, i think.

It's not the best way to spread your need over several "impressions-threads".
You'll get a better overview and information, i guess. :)

Have a great day and good luck.

I wonder if the Rad0 have a better built driver and won't fail like the Audeze ones, I've read bad story after bad story about Audeze as far as driver failure
There you've to be careful.
The more popular a headphone and it's makers will be, the more you'll get good and bad responses about.

The driver failures should've been solved by audeze, afaik.

Due the fact that Alex is a former audeze member, he has fixed this problem as well, i think. :)
