Interesting this mkII is prompting 2.5 comparisons though...I'll hold out for a definitive a/b before buying a set.

My fault really, I had ASG2.5 for a while and they always come up when people want big bass...

I hear that they have good bass power and extension. I wonder how the bass compares to the Cap mk2?

My guess? Probably muddier in all frequencies and not as powerful in the bass.

The closest I've heard is the xb60 which was pure bass with nothing else.

I will know soon. i am taking the risk. if @tienbasse  is right about their bass being similar or possibly better than asg 2.5 sign me up.

How so?
The IT03 has elevated sub-bass and slight peaks around 5kHz. You could make the case of it either being V or U-Shaped. While I don't think that the midrange is all that recessed, comparing it to the Cap MK.2 might make it appear so.
