Rockna Wavedream DAC

Came across another photo. I'm curious if the two big rectangles standing in the middle contain multiple stacked ladder arrays, similar to how MSB stack multiples of their ladder Modules to improve linearity etc.. I suppose we will find out in time.

Yes, in the past they even used dacs from MSB. Today I think they make their own thou.

If anyone is looking for a Rockna server to pair with Rockna DAC, my WD NET can be found in the classifieds section. It's an outstanding sounding unit, but I'm saving money for a new expensive toy 😇
Antipodes K50?

Too bad it can't work in the US without changing transformers with Rockna. I'd be interested. Good luck with the sale!

the WD NET is a really nice component! great pairing with the WD dac.
it is rock solid and switches between Roon endpoint and HQPlayer NAA without issues. the CD player is also a nice feature to have; i use it occasionally.

recently received a 0.75m length of Tubulus Concentus i2s cable. i am very pleased with its performance. it almost matches up to my Bibacord AES cable, like reaaaally close, but for a fraction of the price. the only thing different, and marginally, is the AES cable has just a tad more low end bloom and reverb, and slightly longer decay making for a more visceral sensation. but again, its marginal and you really have to listen out for it.
highly recommended. my favourite i2s cable so far.

So this is a stronger recommendation over the Pink Faun I2S in your opinion?

Yep! I would recommend the tubulus i2s over the pf i2s.

No, I see no reason to change Rockna to something similar. I want to try 20k+ DACs, and most of them are all-in-one - ethernet in, analogue out.
I'm about to do the same as well for dacs :beerchug:

Each of the two modules in the middle houses two sets of ladders.
The module/cover to the right of them is the streaming module & digital processing

Ethernet input (or fibre optic in my case) is the way to go 👍🏼
