Just got my Concentus I2S V2 today, will share impressions in a few days. I ended up upgrading the used Argentus I had directly with Tubulus, Aldwin is a real treat to work with. Highly recommended from a service standpoint at least.

Rockna certainly does packaging very, very well. I like the foam sarcophagus. Looking forward to getting some listening in later on this evening

Congrats! It looks very solid and built like a tank. Which amp are you going to pair it with? Is it the Primavera?Rockna certainly does packaging very, very well. I like the foam sarcophagus. Looking forward to getting some listening in later on this evening

It is definitely built like a tank.

You mean literally upgrading with Tubulus, like sending the old one for upgrade? Never know there is an option available.
I sent the Argentus I had so they could fix it (out of warranty) and asked about simply upgrading instead. Can't say for certain this will work for everyone. You mean literally upgrading with Tubulus, like sending the old one for upgrade? Never know there is an option available.

May I ask why you choose Edition XLR instead of Signature RCA? The latter's price is higher than the first's for not too much. Thank you.

Because the gear I'll be using with it is all fully balanced internally and also only has XLR inputs. I could have used an RCA->XLR adapter with the Signature edition, and I did consider that option, but ended up deciding on the Edition XLR. Also, curiosity as I have owned the Wavelight and enjoyed it and was curious what the next step up sounded like, vs jumping to the Signature. Maybe someday I will consider the Signature (...someday) but for right now I'm good.May I ask why you choose Edition XLR instead of Signature RCA? I use Rockna WDNET via I2s to this fabulous Pre-DAC , great set , done tailor made to fit my needs , it makes switch passthru for audio from video Processor via XLR thus bypassing the DAC section.

I've not heard of that brand till now. looks interesting. would prefer a pre with a volume knob though. how are u outputting to the dac via i2s? I don't see an i2s (hdmi/rj45) on the dac. is it a custom/new module?

it's a tailor made unit, brand can tailor made as per specs needed by each cust., on back u see an optional interface whetre I2s is placed upon request, out via I2s , it has a volume know yes, Tailor made in Denmark for audiophiles.I've not heard of that brand till now. looks interesting. would prefer a pre with a volume knob though. how are u outputting to the dac via i2s? Sorry for some OT.Have you had a chance to compare Premiere and Reference? I assume Discrete is "entry-level", and wonder at which point that "MSB magic" starts.
I’ve auditioned the MSB’s except the Select. To me the “MSB magic” happens with the Reference. I’d recommend it ahead of the Premier w/ Director.

So what do you think the differences between Dream and Light?Because the gear I'll be using with it is all fully balanced internally and also only has XLR inputs. Can I run XLR and RCA out into two different amps for some A/B testing without impacting sound quality? I realize some dac are sensitive to that.
Never mind, didn’t seem to cause an issue.
