Well, I'm sure there is a theoretical possibility to do that. Although, in real life it will require so much time and effort that it is probably easier to forget about it.
Ask the seller to specify "replacement" on the customs declaration. Might do the trick, and no downside.

A warm, old, comforting, treasured recording, an ancient tube, a glass of Caol Ila ... what a sweet way to begin the weekend :nerd:

I would say it sounded very good right out of the box after a warmup of 30 minutes. All in all it has turned me into a state of not looking for any further amp changes and that even became more solid over the weeks of listening into different tubes. Hope that helps even if not answering your question to the point.

Keep in mind that NOS tubes need quite some hours as well, so you’ll have multiple dimensions.

You guys make me do silly things…

This is a very good tube though!

I also got

Siemens ECC82 NOS

And

Valves ecc82 FIVRE

So far Siemens is nice but nowhere as good.

Most recently I have put a lot of work on my frontend mainly the reclocking part, replaced the SWPS in the Mutec MC3+USB with Farad LPS which was a true source upgrade. Today I did received new SPDIF BNC cables from Nick Bacon. I had to replace my expensive Tellurium Q since they simply fell apart and was looking fro something very sturdy. Wave Storm checked all the boxes and seems to be the default choice for Mscaler/Dave user.

I am impressed! Not only that it is very clean sounding, it urges you to crank up the volume without any fatigue. It adds a very nice rich body to the midrange which in my very resolving setup is very appreciate. If I remember correct he is using silver as the main conductor, again not what you would naturally expect.

What you think about Grim Audio MU1?

I been told its better than the Mscaller, this review also confirms it.

I am going to test it next month, and see!

Btw this tube is very good! Not as good as G73-R but good and full of volume in its own way.
