Hello,
I wanted to know what's the best possible way of ripping an SHM-CD or an SACD to itunes, without loosing SQ- Is it at all possible? I'm using a mac not a PC. The and result will be to have a perfect copy at my itunes library and to able to sync it to my iphone 3gs, so i can extract the best SQ of my Shure SE530 and the Headamp Pico DAC/AMP.

2. Can I use the Pico DAC/AMP in my car to further improve SQ out of the car's speakers? Car has AUX out

Answers will be greatly appreciated !

An SHM-CD is still a redbook cd. Rip it as you would rip a normal CD using your mac.

As for the pico, improve it compared to what? If you're using your 3gs line out to connect to the car, nothing you can do with the pico is going to improve the quality unless you bring a computer into the car too. Then that's a whole other story.

You can't rip the SACD layer with anything (it can be done using a HDMI breakout box etc - but its not trivial) - if the disc is a hybrid you can rip the CD redbook layer.
