Good afternoon!

Following the announcement of our new entry-level IEM, the S500i, four weeks ago, we took a handful of units on the road with a successful preview at Europe’s first official CanJam in London and formal debut at IFA in Berlin and had some amazing feedback on our new compact, affordable offering.

Now it’s the turn of Head-Fi users as we open applications for the S500i review programme. We’re keeping it simple with this one - six units, six writers, six reviews. That’s it.

About the S500i
The new RHA product features an ultra-compact design in aluminium, made possible by a high performance micro dynamic driver. The 140.1 model driver promises faithful listening experiences, having been engineered to deliver vibrant, immersive and detailed sound reproduction.

The iSeries version features a three-button remote and microphone for use with compatible Apple devices, while both the S500 and S500i use a 1.35m cable also features a two part material design; the upper half using a traditional TPE finish and the lower half featuring a tangle-resistant, fabric braided outer. Accessories include seven pairs of silicone ear tips in a variety of designs and sizes with holder, a fabric carry pouch and clothing clip.

Availability
The S500i and S500 will go on sale worldwide in early October 2015, with the S500i exclusively available through the Apple Store Network.

The S500i will also be available to audition at CanJam @ RMAF 2015 in Denver, Colorado on 2-4 October.

Review Applications
To apply to review one of the six sets of S500i available, please comment in the thread below stating your interest and any previous experience you’ve had with RHA products.

Applications are open to all Head-Fi members internationally.

Hey!

I'm always paying pretty close attention to RHA products, ever since I fell in love with my MA750i nearly two years ago. Reading Warren's comments on this having a fairly neutral sound made me even more interested, since that seems like a pretty big departure from the company's signature sound. I'd love to be able to give these a listen and write a review.

Thanks for the opportunity.

 Good morning from the U.S.!

Nice to have another opportunity from RHA. I haven't been selected so far but hope to snag one this time! My previous experience is with the MA750 which I did really like. The S500i is a different ball game and I would love to see and hear what you guys did with a small, straight entry phone with a micro driver! Early impressions talk of a brighter phone with detail and clarity and good balance which sounds good to me. I don't mind bright plus I posses different sources with warmer to more neutral signature to test them out with. Having previously had micro drivers and other phones with a similar straight barrel design, including a few Etymotic phones, I am already well versed with the form factor to evaluate them :)

Thanks again for the opportunity and good luck to all the applicants!

I would love to have an opportunity to try these out. I'm still pretty new to this whole game, so I haven't had any experience with RHA products, but I'll absolutely do my research on the company and other product offerings for background on the S500i.

I look forward to the chance to try these out and submit a review!

Hello and good afternoon,

I'm greatly interested in applying to audition and review your new S500i. I've been hearing very good things about RHA primarily in your "T20" model, even seeing a few come through the airport myself. As for hearing any models, I personally have not yet the honor but am hoping to change that.
Below I have attached two links to reviews I've both written and recorded so that you may get a sense of my abilities and style. Thank you for the honor and opportunity and for the time in reading my request, I wish you and your company the best and look forward to hearing from you soon.

Hi @RHA Team. I own the MA750 and have reviewed the T10i and T20. I'd love the chance to give the S500i an in-depth listen and share my thoughts on RHA's micro-driver implementation with the Head-Fi community.

I would love a chance to review your RHA S500i.

I recently purchased your MA750i and I am very impressed with the build quality and sound. I use them on the go and perfect for calls as I hate holding the phone up to my ear. I also love the over the ear fit as it keeps everything out of the way. The sound quality is warm and pleasant and something I can listen to all day. They are always in my bag with me ready to use.

I have reviewed other products and would be glad to to a review on my website at http://nashaudiophile.com.

Hello,

I'd love to try out the S500i, I can't believe I missed it at CanJam London. I've previously demoed the T20i (pre-production model) and ma750 and T10i at the Cambridge Head-Fi meet, and the T20i (production model) at CanJam London. I've was impressed at the improvement in tuning between my two T20i listening sessions. It was nice seeing Iain at both meets. Always a good chap.

I've never gotten enough time with a unit to give it a proper review (outside of headphones I own). I'd love to start reviewing more. I'll be writing up reviews for my full stable of gear real soon to get more practice. Now that I've been to a couple Head-fi meets, I've listened to a wide variety of headphones and iems and have a much better idea of what I want to say about them. I also have a nice camera (Panasonic GX-7) and will take some delicious photos of your beautiful headphones. If you want to send me more review copies, I'll review the stuffing out of them too.

I'm located in Southampton, in the UK.

I would like to throw my name into this hat as well. I love my RHA 750's, but I've been using my Shure SE-425's more recently, Would love the chance to have another set to review. I have been beginning my reviews already, as soon as they are done on my side I will be adding them to the site!

I've got no previous experience with RHA products but I'm very curious about them and would love to be one of the reviewers of the S500i.

I'm located in Oslo, Norway :)

Hi,
I would like to have an opportunity to try and review this new RHA product. I own RHA T10 and I heard MA750 too. It's in plan to write a review of my T10, but I don't have them long enough (since last week), so I can't write 100% opinion on it. I am not an audiophile, I am more like common person who just love listening music and both RHA headphones I've heard. Hope I can be part of this review program.

I am very interested in covering this product. I really enjoy the sound of micro dynamic drivers for the most part, and I have no doubt RHA will not be an exception.

I was part of the T20 review tour and my coverage of them made the front page. If selected I hope to repeat this success. Please feel free to look at my profile and take a look at the products I've covered on Head-Fi over the last year.

I am well versed in in-ear monitors and have a large inventory on hand. I will be able to do comparisons to models of the same design and price range.

Please consider me for this project. Thanks for your consideration,

Vince AKA Hisoundfi

Hello RHA!

I would love to be able to have the opportunity to review the S500i.

Although I have never owned an RHA earphone before, the main reason is because I prefer my earphones to be as compact as possible.

The S500i looks extremely promising to me due to the fact that its RHA's first attempt at creating a compact earphone that promises to offer a large portion of the SQ of RHA's well regarded larger earphones.

I be honored to provide an honest assessment of it for you.

I'd LOVE to try some of your Headphones out! I'm a full time musician who uses headphones to listen and learn music as well as for in ear monitoring systems.

My current headphones are M50 for studio work/learning music, the Shure Se315 for monitors and the Momentums for listening to music
