I have an old pair of 590s and it goes plenty loud with those, however I have no experience with the 600s so I couldn't be completely sure how that will work out. I do suspect it would be fine though.
I have read some comments that said the U100 shines more as a pure DAC than a headphone amp and I think I agree with that opinion. At least it really shines with my pair of BX5a monitors and I find myself more impressed with that output than listening to my 590s.
