Listening to Depeche Mode in SACD. Amazing beyond words...

Oh yeah very nice indeed! I'm currently downloading the latest 24-192 Grateful Dead Studio albums from HDTracks. Almost 22GB worth! I can't wait for a listen when it finishes in about 2.5 hours

Man, the dynamics brought by the DA8 at low volume is just awesome. Im getting a full listening experience with the pot at -40db *scratching head*

got my DA8 today

first impressions, the amp does "ok" with the HD800, but pairing it with the Violectric V200 is a new ball game.
running the USB implementation through the usual tests.

I recommend spending more time with the amp in the DA8, I hope you are using the rear xlr directly to your HD800. I currently have the A18 as well and its safe to say I could live without the A18 and be content with the DA8 alone.

My DA8 is finally mostly broken in. The headphone section really opened up over the last week.. Ive had the DA8 running constant since last week  Very happy with my purchase, now I have a great headphone amp (paired with HD598, and sounds great) and a dedicated dac that outperforms the Concero which was good, but definitely not in the same league. Id say its the perfect balance of musicalness and detail.

Is Grant Fidelity the only reputable place to purchase the DA8? What about for people who live outside of the U.S. like Korea or Japan?

Agreed, the DA8 and V200 is a magical pairing! :)

From my experience Hifispot168 is a great eBay seller.
Purchased D100 and DA8 when these units came out.
DA8 was in my doorstep in 52h!!
From Hongkong to Estonia (EU)... mind-boggling really. Mail inside my little country doesn't travel as fast. All 990€ or 1300$

Sorry to ask, but how does this work as an AIO for LCD-3 before I get a different amp?
How well does it compare to the Audio-gd NFB-28? Which one is better? I am really liking this DAC from what I'm reading so far, and the SNR can totally hold a match to the LCD-3, not that I listen that loud.

I understand you people are talking about the rear XLR serving well the HD800, but the LCD-3 comes with a 4 pin XLR... what goes?

The price + DSD/DXD + awesome screen is very very very attractive offer, and getting it through that seller mentioned above on ebay seems like a good idea.

I think you need this: http://www.audeze.com/products/accessories/4-pin-dual-3-pin-cable
Edit: No, this cable is not correct for this use. We need also two of this: http://www.neutrik.com/en/lighting/accessories/circular-adapters/na3ff-b
