Review: Questyle Audio QP1R - With Multiple Headphone and IEM Pairings

Without breaking out my dB level meter app and testing, I’ll say that I noticed a volume level decrease as well from v1.0.8 to v1.0.9. How much exactly, that remains to be tested.
Looking at the figures in my post above (6371) and going only by ear on one track I know well, I think the decrease is around 20%.

That’s probably about right. In the future I will test with the TH-X00 Ebony and pink noise to find out how much decrease in dB v1.0.9 is over v1.0.8.Looking at the figures in my post above (6371) and going only by ear on one track I know well, I think the decrease is around 20%.
Wouldn't this be an easy (Quick) fix for Questyle? Couldn't they just use the code from 1.0.8 that controls the volume and copy and paste it back into 1.0.9?
I don't remember anyone complaining about the lack of adjustment with the 60 increment volume control, but there must be more than just us two who aren't happy with the volume decrease?

I've noticed the volume decrease too and having to turn the volume wheel a lot to hear a significant increase. I seem to be listening at a much "higher" level than before.
However, if this is the trade off for fixing the battery indicator issue I'll accept it.

I understand what you mean, but the code for the battery fix in 1.0.9 is presumably separate from the code for the 60 to 120 change and the subsequent loss of volume. So they should be able to change back to the code used in 1.0.8 that controlled the output volume, quite quickly. Well, hopefully not eleven months anyway.

Just hold the power button down for ten seconds to reset it.
Bruce, any timeframe on a new firmware to fix the volume reduction from v1.0.8 to v1.0.9 that a few of us including moedawg140 have noticed?

Thinking about selling my gold QP1R with case and original box if anyone is interested. I listen to a desktop system and my stereo system most of the time.
Does the battery indicator work accurately with firmware 1.0.8?
Can anyone shed some light on when the volume issue with 1.0.9 will be addressed?
I pretty much can't use it with that firmware. I've gone back to1.0.8 and even though I have the newest version of the QP1R with the battery modification from new, the indicator didn't work properly the last time I tried it, shutting off at about 60%. I am hoping a few cycles of the battery might help synch it to the electronics.
