I agree on both accounts.

Please let us know what happens when you replace the card, formatting within the QP1R, jayboy76.

Thanks guys, formatted to fat32 in dap . Let's see how it goes .

I'm really quite impressed with this and probably will check out questyle's desktop dac amps next to drive my LCDs.

Hi all, just curious anyone having problems with .ape files?

Seems like QP1R not recommending the format on my card. Not a big issue but just curious to know.

Thanks for the feedback in advanced.

Hey guys ... Found and have started to enjoy the below inexpensive IEM replacement cables ..

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Official-Oyaide-earphone-exchange-cable-1-2m-HPC-MX-Black-1-2-made-in-Japan-/121845456749?hash=item1c5e8e1f6d:g:kn0AAOSwSdZWd7hl

Using Westone um pro 30 & 50.

What type of IEM's are you people enjoying?

I thought that was the main topic here ... The actual pairings ....

All of my IEMs pair well with the QP1R but the Ortofon e-Q5 is especially nice.

Hello first i don't understand how so many people when got the questyle sells the ak240;))they are so diferent , the ak does usb dac streamer and in balanced mode is great, anyway the only problem that i sometimes get with my qp1r is that the batery drains to quickly sometimes us on 70% and past alf an hour is 30% , there will be someone with the same problem?

Maybe, the reason people sell their A&Ks after getting the Questyle, is to liberate lots of cash, unnecessarily tied up.
And I've experienced excellent battery life.  I don't watch the counter, so can't complain.

Probably because the QP1R sounds better.

Sorry for being so flippant.  You're right about the USB DAC support.  But, with other alternatives such as the Chord Mojo or even the Dragon Fly, some people might think that they'd be more economical than having their funds tied up in an expensive DAP.  I'm not dismissing your needs or choice, just pointing out the possibilities.
As for the battery drain, that might be worth bringing it up with Questyle itself.  From what I hear, that drop sounds unusual.  Hope to hear if it gets resolved.

Well, only once I faced a situation where I had charged the player up to 100% via a laptop USB, and a couple of days later when I opened it, battery was at 6%. In only one instance I faced that issue. Otherwise I have not encountered any battery related problems up till now after 3 months of use.

I normally listen to the QP1R, around 4 days with a single 100% charge, around 2-2.30 hours a day during my regular commutes.

About people selling their high-end players with hissing problems, better than mundane SQ in general and certainly for the price, it is a subjective matter. Everybody has specific needs for specific applications, some chose the QP1R, some chose the AK240, some chose the Lotoo Paw Gold, some chose the Chord Mojo with a mobile phone, some are now considering the LG V10 and some are going to stick with Project Ara. There is no accounting for taste.

I own both but would never get rid of my AK240. The AK240 is the epitome of refinement and it does all things really well. A couple of years ago, the AK240 was pretty much the only game in town if you wanted that degree of craftsmanship. Now with the QP1R you get sound, that IMO, is better than the AK240 but the QP1R still has a few warts that I'm sure will be worked out with FW updates. One, is already a classic and the other is a soon to become classic. Maybe one day, if I'm strapped for cash, the AK240 will go but until then, the AK240 will have permanent residence with me.

You've got a great stable of IEMs and headphone there. My favorite of your IEMs is the Angie, but the IE800 sounds very good for a single driver.
