Here are a few pictures of the new Questyle cases for the QP1 from CES. I don't have a $ or available date at this point.

I’ve been reading everything I can find online but can’t find any information on the lack of a balanced out.  If the QP1R is so high quality, why no balanced out?  I thought balanced out gives better quality for headphones, IEMs and running to an amp. (In my experience it does.)  I have also read that the sound of the QP1R is great and rivals the AK380, Paw Gold etc…  So the QP1R unbalanced out is as good as these running balanced out?  I intend to use the QP1R with Custom Westone ES60 and hopefully Hifiman HE1000 as well as to an amp.

To answer your second question: yes.

Give the QP1R a listen if you can to find out for yourself if the QP1R is worth it compared to the DAPs you have mentioned.

I have both AK380 and QP1R sonically both are very good. Functionally the AK edges it for me, but I use them both, for different reasons.

Also, if you read the ak380 thread, the jury is devided on whether the balanced is better or not. As far as I can tell.
