[Review] Philips SHL3300 "DJ" Headphones - Most Underrated Headphone?

Best on ear headphones under rs3000. Burn in period of 48 hrs required for perfect sound.

These are the best headphones under rupees 3000, that I have used. The bass I good, mids are clear and treble has clarity. But to actually know the real performance you have to give it a burn in period of at least 2days. Out of the box the sound is a bit muddled and bass heavy, with recessed mids and highs. But after playing music continuously for at least 50 hours, the bass becomes deeper, mid range comes forward and the treble becomes well defined . The sound separation and definition is unbelievably accurate for this price. Movies and games also shine well on it. This is perfect for Hollywood action movies , gives you a suround sound effect. Music performance is just mind blowing!!!! And these work perfectly without any amp , and works real good on any smartphone. Don't look back go for it guys!! Just don't forget , Give it enough BURN -IN PERIOD.

I have the same impression, they're really great for watching movies and musical performances, excellent surround feel. The DT770 pads replacemente was really worth it, not only it's way more comfortable now, but soundstage and surround have improved too. And I agree with the statement that most Philips headphones are underrated, and usually have great price-performance ratio,

I wonder if these are good? http://cart.payments.ebay.com/sc/add?ssPageName=CART:ATC&item=iid:160925687916,qty:1

Will do Nithin. They will be here this week. I hope/bet these are close to my Pioneer SE-A 1000 sound for Movies/Music, but more portable.

They are here. They sound pretty good out the box, but Burn-in time is needed.

Got two delivered to me for $29 the following day of ordering from Newegg. Gonna have to stretch out the clamp but the rubber headband doesn't seem as uncomfortable as I read earlier. I guess it will depend on the listening duration and whether I'm wearing a hat. Sounds good the bass is definitely there!  I'm gonna need new pads pronto...what do u think of these or is there a better deal out there?

I just ordered these pads two days ago http://www.ebay.com/itm/160925687916, so won't be here for maybe 2 weeks. I'll let you know. Yep BASS is there, just waiting to hear a better soundstage after the 50 hr. burn-in. Has anyone opened and taken off the orange and mesh underneath?

These are amazing! I burned them in for about 70 hrs and boy do they kick your butt. They are easily worth more money. Now I need to add the new velour pads coming to see how they feel.

To chip in. They are a great sub $100 closed headphone, when paired with HM5 leather pads. I tried velour HM5's and they aren't as good overall. Too much upper mids/treble (to the point of being sibilant).

Leathers turn the headphone into a monster for the <$125 market.

Nice which leather pads? The ones included actually do a good job, but only got the velour for less tightness. I'm also stretching them out. How long would it take to get them less tight when stretching them?

IIRC, these. http://www.amazon.ca/Brainwavz-Replacement-Memory-Foam-Earpads/dp/B00MFDT894/ref=sr_1_9?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1451861630&sr=1-9

Friend of mine had them on his. They sound better overall than the velours, which I bought and sold for someone else to put on their x2's (which help them)

Ok thanks wish these was a ten or less alternative. I'm trying to strech them out, so they won't be tight.
