Try to find my messages in this topic about my hearing experience with IM02.
Shortly: too much mids for me.
Good vocal but sometimes it is very annoying when vocalists starts singing with screaming - and every time i want to put off my IEMs. Hope IM70 will be more fun for me, less 'monitor'

Well, the IM70 also has very forward mids. They are very much balanced with the bass though, and as such don't overpower them. I love the IM70 for the reason that nothing is in front of anything else. The bass is big, but so are the mids. The highs aren't much higher than the mids either. Everything is right where it should be and separation and imaging is great even with that big booming bass. It's nice to hear a softer impact, boomy bass that stays controlled and doesn't bleed like that.

I got mine from Amazon for 85 bucks with Prime. Not sure where the best place is, but Amazon or eBay would be a good place to start. And yeah, EDM sounds great with these. I listen to a lot of Vocal Trance and it sounds excellent with the mids of the IM70. You might want a bit more treble for some Electronic stuff, but I've never noticed a problem and wide bore tips can help with that.

I love vocal trance too, as well as female vocal dubstep. Its looking more and more like I will be getting the IM70 as my next IEM. I am seeing some decent prices on ebay cheers

I also got mine from Amazon for $90 with shipping. I think the best place to order them is Amazon. You can also check this seller on Ebay. The price is so good.

Thanks for the link, seems like a great price. The problem with amazon is that the canadian site has terrible prices and low availability and the us one won't ship to Canada lol.

Did you buy it?

Nope. Am in a dilemma. Sennheiser IE80s are having a crazy deal at 57 percent off. Been debating whole day which one to get lol. Have another 12 hours to make up my mind before the lighning deal runs out :p

I think that IE80 is not as good as IM50/70. It was a good IEM in its old days but there are better options nowadays. It is warm, bassy and veiled IEM and not so much detailed. If you are a basshead go ahead, you can order it. But if you are more into details I recommend you getting IM70:wink: Just my two cents..

have you had a chance to listen to the ie80? I heard that it was bassy but detailed. I'm more of a discerning bass head :p I find myself liking my havi more than my vsd3 to be honest. the ie80s have a crazy soundstage like the havi. thats what has me interested. first world problems :p
