It has been incredibly hard for me to go back to other gears ever since I spend more time with ckr10.

I am still confused on whether ckr9LTD is going to offer any substantial upgrade from ckr10. Over all ckr10 with the right tip is one of the greatest purchases I have made this year.

You know whats annoying, not being able to listen to ckr9 and ckr10 before buying, obviously some people here prefer one over the other, but I have no way of knowing which camp I will fall into, reading the sound impressions just isn't enough. So I guess I will buy both and sell one off later, question: are these iems good enough to go to that much effort for? Or should I just buy some other more expensive iem from the get go!

In line with your screen name, you will be wasting your money/time trying out CKR9.  Go for CKR10 and don't look back, Trance!

I just read your review of 9 and 10 and realized you listen to edm and preferred the 10, so that pretty much seals the deal, 10 it is! What do you say to A83 vs CKR10 for EDM?

Interesting. I'll try and test both CKR10 and A83 and report back as well.

As promised, I did a brief comparison of the Dunu DN-2000, Fidue A83, ATH CKR09 and ATH CKR10 here:

T.R.A.N.C.E.: I greatly preferred the CKR09. I think it would make an excellent compliment to your FX650, 750 and 850. Unless you want something more similar to the JVC trio... In which case the CKR10 would be more up your alley.

I keep wondering how these will sound balanced, if that phased-driver thing will be made better/worse . . .

Nice comparison thanks man, Im going to buy both ckr9 and ckr10, I think they will both sound great from DX90 but the ckr10 should pair well with the ZX1. As the ZX1 sig is treble heavy, vocal energetic with tight bass. Basically ZX1 sound sig is the opposite of how you describe the ckr10, so they should pair very well!

Your impressions of 10s vs 9s are exactly the same as mine. I also preferred the 9s because of its clarity and airyness. There was noticely more air in the 9s vs the 10s. However Trance lovers should go for the 10s IMO. I mostly listening to acoustics

Would just like to know which one would suit me better the CKR9 or the CKR10? I'm looking for a iem that is rich/warm (but not bass heavy or very dark/congested either because I do like good clarity and some brightness in the upper mids/treble as well and I don't like slow lingering bass) and has full/lush/forward sounding vocals with a bit of warmth as well so that it sounds intimate/close and also smooth as well as if your sitting right next to the singer. I also like nice airy vocals with a good soundstage as well. Also imaging, speed, timbre and realism is also very important to me.

I currently have the Sony Z1070 and the F887 but find my self using the F887 more due to portability but still prefer the sound of the Z because it's warmer, richer and more lush sounding so it sounds more emotional while the F has better clarity/resolution but it's too thin and analytical at times that makes it not as involving. So I'm looking for iem that pairs better with the F in order to sound closer to the Z's sound sig while still keeping the benefits that the F has.

What's your budget? It seems like you're asking exactly about the Shure house sound! The Shure SE846 beckons...
