<Renewed at 2012/03/12>The new HiFiMAN 802 & New UI named "Tai-Chi"

The HM-802 looks surprisingly small in the first picture.
Maybe I'm wrong, but compared to the hand, the size of the HM-802 shouldn't be that much bigger than the HM-601? That would be an improvement, also hope for a low impedance output.

i hope this firmware will become available in hm60x as well..

It will be the best gift I have gotten this year! If this interface is implemented in the 60x series.

Well, I know that the new UI will be first implement in the 802, followed  to the other Hifiman line! this is great news

Nice. Finally Hifiman may be catching on. Seems like they really don't have a choice if they want to compete with the likes of ibasso. Let the pricing wars begin, the customer wins either way :p

Haha, now the HM-801 will not only look a vintage discontinued Sony Walkman, but eventually become it. =p

Judging by by HM802 interface, I highly doubt it will be portable to the existing HM602/601-slim models.  As far as price goes, I'm betting it will be at least the old price if not more to go neck to neck with the DX100. For battery life, I won't be surprised to see specs of 7-10 hrs of straight music play.

Thanks for the correction.  I'll need to wait for my wife to come home to fully translate the site.  I'm wondering if the "full line of player product" is referring to a new HM602/601 model or whatever successor models.  I have the HM601 slim and still think it's still a little bulky, but was a good effort without changing the original HW specs and battery life.
