Hello everybody!
Since I'm sick of my iPhone's bundle earphones, I'm looking for new IEM.
My budget is about 60-70$ (I am no audiophile, just want a good sound for a fair price).
I listen mostly to progressive rock/metal.
I'd like a balanced sound, maybe with a slight bassy impact (I don't like when the bass gets over everything).
Sound isolating is very important for me, because I ride the bus a lot.
My source will be my iPhone 4.
I used to have the JBL Reference 220 and enjoyed them a lot.

After reading many reviews of many models, I've narrowed my options for two:
MEElectronics A151, or
VSONIC GR06.

Which one of these will give me the best results? Also, I'm open for other suggestions :)
Thanks!

If you're listening to prog, you really don't want much bass at all, tbqh. What you're actually wanting is something with an emphasis lower, and upper mids. That's where you feel the impact of the drums, and where you hear the electric, and bass guitars.

My recommendations would be:

SoundMAGIC PL50
SoundMAGIC E30

Or anothing else in that price-range that's either neutral, or mid-emphasized.

If the stock soundmagic tips don't work, klipsch, Sony hybrid, auvio hybrid, hisound audio, and comply foam tips all fit on the soundmagic in-ears.

I really like my Soundmagic E30s.  For the price they're very balanced and have good sound.  What they don't do too well is isolate which is why I'm kicking them out of my gym bag.
