My current setup is very simple. I am currently using:
 

1. Onboard card
2. Winamp + Enhancer DSP plugin.
3. Logitech z523 speakers (It's a 2.1)

 
I am thinking of getting a new card so I can "fully" appreciate my FLAC files.
My budget is around $50 - $100.
Also, if you have any recommendation in changing my "setup", that would be nice. Thanks!

If it's for speakers and not really need for headphones.
Asus Xonar DX or D1 sound card (used $50).

Yeah it will be mostly for speakers.
 
BTW I came across Audioengine D1, do you think it will work well with my speakers?

I don't see any issues in using it with your speakers.

@proton007 Thanks, my concern is since my speaker is not that "high-end", I might not notice any difference.

dont mind about the 7.1 thingy (it is optional) as it sounds great with 2.1 speakers.
 
 
oh they increased the price now... maybe alot of people are buying it now... it only costs 20usd here in our country
