I'm aware the RE262 comes standard terminated with a 4 pin balanced connector, and that it has various adapters for use with whatever contraption you'd like to use it with.  However, my question is, do I have to use an adapter in order to connect it to say, my iPhone?  Or can I just connect it straight in without any adapters whatsoever?  I ask because it'd be quite a bit of trouble for me to have to deal with the adapter, since I often use my IEMs while running/working out and having to deal with that adapter swinging around on jogs would be pretty annoying :frowning2:

You should ask HifiMan if the latest batch of RE262 uses the same cable as RE272 or not. If it is not, then you still need to use the adapter. If it is the same as RE272, then all you need is to use the right lower extension cable. (RE272 uses two pieces cable design. No adapter because the extension cable acts as adapter).
