Not exactly a movie, but I watched 6 out of the 10 episodes from last season of Game Of Thrones so far today, and will watch the final four before I leave for work tomorrow. Season 3 is upon us!

Napoleon Dynamite was very funny to me, and I liked how atypical some of the elements were (even though the plot wasn't anything new) - it was set in Utah, ND had a strange yet kind of touching friendship with a Mexican immigrant and also had a penchant for dance. I can get on board just about any movie with a socially-inept but likeable protagonist.  $400,000 budget, over $46,000,000 gross revenue.

I remember having zero interest in seeing it after watching a trailer on AintItCoolNews.com, and then loving it immensely after the first viewing. I wish they'd make a sequel with Napoleon, Pedro, Kip and Uncle Rico...

The Hunt (2012) 8.2/10
A rumor can destroy your life and so begins The Hunt.
The main character Mads Mikkelsen, was the heavy Le Cheffre,a James Bond nemesis in Casino Royale.
He excels here, portraying any man's worst living hell.
A psychological drama that still comes across even though it is Danish with English subtitles.
Mass hysteria focused on an individual is gripping.

Hansel and Gretel(direct to DVD parody).
Hilarious, predictable and excessively gory. Acting is mediocre, plot is barely there, characterization is non-existent but I still enjoyed it.

6/10

I saw "Bernie" with Jack Black.  Based on a true story.  Entertaining, but not enthralling.  I'd say 7/10.

Tokyo Chorus - (9.25/10)

Two of my favorite boxed sets are "Silent Ozu" and some Marx Brothers set with 4 movies. I believe it's one from TCM with "A Night in Casablanca". I scored that for just $5.99!!
Anyway, this movie came in the Silent Ozu box set and I've now finished all of them.

Each movie in the set is very good and worth watching multiple times.
If you haven't seen a Yasujiro Ozu movie yet, give his movies a try.

It took me a few years to appreciate them. I found "Tokyo Story" a snore fest back when I was 18. So hard to believe...now I love it.

Skyfall 7/10.

Fun but a bit to much over the top. Javier Bardem is forever going to play villains now I imagine lol
I like how he planned a train crash to kill Bond duh... That is a lot to buy and a lot more in the same spirit...

Snabba Cash 2
9/10. I loved every minute of it. Spirale down to hell. Not sure if it´s available anywhere else but Sweden though.

Welcome to the Punch (2013) 6.9/10
A British style,in your face crime movie with a recognizable cast that keeps you entertained.
Not much depth or complexity here to question, just a heated cat and mouse game involving politics and gun running.
For the action fans.

Insidious. Idk, 7/10? It's not a finely crafted movie, and the scares are cheap and the plot predictable. It's not a movie that will haunt you for weeks to come. But for a slightly campy scary movie with lots of jumps and some interesting monsters, it's pretty good. It gets some little scares in while at the same time being fun, and doesn't go too far into bad movie territory. I'd say that Drag Me To Hell is still the master for that type of movie, though.

G I Joe - rise of Cobra

It was on TV and we thought what the hey lets just watch it, after all there is one out now with Bruce Willis. Absolutely horrid. Wooden dialogue, pointless plot, utterly cliched characters, overdone action scenes with no impact, too much going on at any given time, brainless character development and changes.

Don't get me wrong I like action, but not this kind of cartoon fantasy land, breaking the laws of physics kind of thing. This coming from an anime fan too.
