I'm not easily shocked. I was rolling with laughter in the cinema watching the last evil dead remake.....but I did question the legality of this movie.

If you are in the mood for some extreme gore, 9/10

Otherwise 5/10.

Wish I had seen it with an audience at a cinema.

They came from away 2022 Apple TV

Seemed since I missed it, it would be nice to to see how Canadians have always opened our hearts, wallets, and expertise to have americas back for the last 80 years, negotiated every trade deal in good faith, and have the largest undefended and secure border with largest trade partner, that keeps betraying these allies.

Well enjoy the musical 4 out of 5, USA batting way lower.

The Kings of Summer. Watched this again the other day. If you watch during the summer and are or were an adventurous person who also enjoyed Stand by Me, then it's a 10/10. Really gives me a warm and fuzzy nostalgic feeling. It's pretty funny too.
Edit: I didn't watch this today or yesterday (sorry cheating or whatever) I just love talking movies. If anyone watch or has watched The Kings of Summer and enjoyed it, you'll also like this movie I think called Super 8. It's a good time. A family movie that adults can enjoy.

"Nomadland" (10/10) - This film has been on my "Must Watch" list for years. I even have the book, but haven't read it yet. I guess that I had a lot of recommendations to watch it when it first came out. I would suggest that watching this film will make you a little more human than if you don't watch it. That's how I felt. What could be better than that for a free movie on Hulu?

Crank 2009 blue ray

Jason running for 90 minutes, half the time, in bottomless surgery gowns, with constant need to crank it up for survival. Well a bit irritating in an amusing way for a mediocre 3.5 out of 5 speed ball puffs.

Apple Cider Vinegar - 10/10

(New Netflix series)
I actually only watched this because I really liked Kaitlyn Dever's acting in "Dopesick". Some of the best acting i've seen. This is her latest movie.
The acting from everyone here is way above average. It also has Alicia in it from "Fear the Walking Dead" (Alycia Debnam-Cary)!
I won't explain the story but i'm sure it's far more dramatized than real life. The real life people definitely won't watch to watch this!
It probably makes them far worse than they really are. It definitely seems like the main character had some seriously mental health issues.
It does make one think about what to do if you have a terminal illness and little to no chance of recovery. If the doctors give you no options or you have no health insurance, then a complete diet overhaul to potentially reverse disease might be possible for some. For sure, not all diseases. I've read of some reversing breast cancer on a whole foods, planet based diet. I believe the most effective diet for reversing heart disease was a whole foods, plant based diet with almost zero oils. Not even olive oil! It's a diet promoted by an actual heart surgeon (Caldwell B Esselstyn).

What I would never encourage (like those that did in the movie) though is to totally bypass your doctor's advice for treatment. Some people who have no health insurance have no other options sadly. Yes, like as shown in the movie, some will fall for going to wellness centers that might be trying things that have no proven record of reversing disease. Or they will try using natural cures that won't work.

People also tend to fall for social media/youtube wellness advice too. Youtube is the absolute worst place for nutrition advice! I see doctors on there telling people that fruit is bad. What the heck? People there will suggest disease promoting diets that are extremely dangerous long term. Doctors too have so little training in nutrition. Most people forget this. Many of the Youtube people will promote any diet as long as it brings them in money from advertising etc.
It's so weird seeing people on there cooking a massive plate of hamburgers, eating them ALL for lunch and thinking that's healthy.
I have a family member doing the all meat diet. I haven't said anything to them, but I can't see how that's healthy long term if you check the research.

I personally had to stop falling for fad diets when I wanted to lose some weight. The only thing now I care about is diets that will prevent disease! Any foods that are known to promote disease are eaten in limited quantities. There are also lots of foods too that most people eat daily that cause inflammation and people don't even know this. The food industry i'm sure spends millions promoting unhealthy diets. Then there is that myth that "A calorie is a calorie". Not quite.

BTW one book on the subject I can suggest is "How Not To Die". It's all backed up by actual science and medical research.
That book kind of made me realize how indoctrinated many Americans (like me) are when it comes to what we should eat.
I think since I was a kid I always believed you HAD to drink Milk to have healthy teeth and bones! Not true at all.

This is 1000% not a diet for anyone these days, but look into the early research of a thing called "The Rice Diet".
It was an extreme diet you'd think would be harmful, but they found it could help in reversing some disease.
It definitely did lack in nutrients and they had to take vitamins. I think it was mostly just used for research.
I think maybe the goal was to starve cancer cells and keep them from spreading.
It mostly was just orange juice, white rice and white sugar! Crazy.

Also, want to hear something cool?
I was in a thrift store the other day and found a mint condition current gen Apple TV (streaming device) for $5!!
It's the one with 64gb. Had a power cable, remote and 8K HDMI cable attached to it.
I think new they are still $100 or so. Maybe it will be a nice upgrade from my Fire 4K.
I might gift it to my mom since she doesn't do streaming and I convinced her to give it a try.

Love again 2023 net flix

Still keep looking for rom, rom/com, something to connect the heart and brain. Well keep looking cause love again won’t happen again, ever. Outlander stars in an implausible love story in an un credible job, in a lastly unreal romance. Celine Dion drives the nail into the coffin of love. 3 out of 5 useless puffs

Surviving Black Hawk Down - 7.5/10

Sort of makes you angry that someone actually gave the green light for a suicide mission like this.
I wonder how it compares to the actual movie. I bet most Americans don't know that 300-500 Somalian people died too.

American Manhunt: O.J. Simpson - 7/10

There are way too many OJ documentaries! I guess i'm not helping by watching them all. The best one is the ESPN one called OJ: Made in America.
I do believe that racism played a role for sure, but I don't think anyone could ever convince me he was innocent. There are just too many red flags for me (2 massive ones).
The court case was a complete joke to me. The jurors came back with a decision in like no time at all.

In the last few minutes of the series there is almost like a confession. It's quite possible something like that happened. He was often seen outside her house wearing all black. Didn't they also have a witness of him fleeing the scene?

Lots of evidence shown in here that I didn't know about or had just forgotten. There was also a blood stain on a metal fence that wasn't there a day after the murders, but magically appeared weeks later. I believe there might have been rioting in the streets if he was proven guilty.

"Longlegs" (7.9/10): More than a twist on "Silence Of The Lambs." Definitely a good low budget horror film. A scary story. The story itself is engaging. The performances make the most of the writing. I've seen some big budget horror films that weren't as good...
