The Dark Knight - 8/10

Aside from Heath Ledger's performance, it doesn't really match the hype for me. Acting was over the top at times, and there were a little too many action scenes. The movie was also a bit too long. It was good, but not really 10/10 good imo.

That performance by Ledger was awesome though, and it will definitely age well. He was by far the best thing in this movie.

EDIT: Forget to mention that this movie should have been more dark and rated R. It was kind of on the edge, and that didn't really work for me.

The Visitor - 8.5 / 10

I loved this film. It was very heartwarming

Pineapple express - 3/10. It's probably funnier if you're high.

Tropic Thunder - 9/10

Great film.

Ben Stiller jumped up several notches IMO, also the best Tom Cruise performance ever.

Tropic Thunder was awesome. Don't go see it if you're expecting something goofy, though.

War: D-
Boring. Actually feel asleep during it. And that is a bad indicator considering the movie is listed under Action/Thriller.
I do give this movie an award though- the award for lamest line.

Jason Statham killing lots of people kung fu(?) style. About to kill the last one with a gun, but lets him have one last word first-
Asian guy: In Japan- you'd be dead
(small pause)
Jason: This isn't Japan
Bang! (dead)

I love this movie. I was crushed when I learned it wasn't really a true story.

If you look at the wikipedia page, someone made a tournament bracket for the movie. It's hilarious:

I love some of the nicknames for fighters that were not named in the movie.

Paco was siiiick. He was like Anderson Silva.

"1408" - 7/10

John Cusack is a jaded writer who pseudo-investigates haunted venues, and gets more than he bargained for. I was pleasantly surprised at this movie, and even more so at Cusack's performance. I love how you never know if you are watching a paranormal movie or a psychological one. Well-worth a rental.

Yeah dude. For like 10 years I thought it was a true story. That chart is sick! I'm gonna print it out. Man, now I feel like watching Kickboxer. "NUK SU KAO!"
