I’m very excited for this. Immediate questions are, what’s the price, and can you drive it with the VM-1a?It's a new brand in the same family tree, but all new concept...

yes, I am curious about both questions because to be honest the CA and SR are so darn good that better would be pretty remarkable
Yeah, I don't know how they can beat them either, but if there was a combo of the CA bass, with the SR resolution and soundstage, it might be the perfect pair of headphones everyes, I am curious about both questions because to be honest the CA and SR are so darn good that better would be pretty remarkable

I think the sr1a is better but love both of them but I am not the basshead you are...the sr1a is just so incredibly detailed and spacious and the imagining and vocals are just spectacularYeah, I don't know how they can beat them either, but if there was a combo of the CA bass, with the SR resolution and soundstage, it might be the perfect pair of headphones ever
I'm gonna wildly speculate on this. So it's got 3 ribbons. I'm imagining a better soundstage than the CA, but it's not that open flap design like the SR, so it probably doesn't have SR soundstage, but you never know. It's gold, so it probably costs more than the SR. I'm thinking RR could probably play in the $4k-$5k market. I'm a bit concerned that it will need a new amp to drive it. Driving 3 smaller ribbons will probably be hard. If I have to buy another amp, and can't use the VM-1a, I'm going to be mad.

if I cannot use the vm-1a I am out as much as I may love the HP
You say that, but if it sounds better than both, you may change your opinion.if I cannot use the vm-1a I am out as much as I may love the HP
I agree that it will be very disappointing if we have to buy another amp. I guess we could always use our CFA3s with whatever adaptor they come up with (hopefully).
