Would you mind sharing the dimensions of the cups? Width and length? Just trying to get a picture of how large the cups are and how they fit on my head / over my ears.

**** that's a weird statement bud.Hmm, no offence intended, each to his or her own.
But personally I do NOT try to "work" and listen to music at the same time, except when I am trying to learn a new piece at my piano.
And basically ALL the music I listen to is captivating enough to demand my FULL attention.
I never have music running as a background to any other activities. And especially so with headphones like the RAALs where the SQ is a very important aspect of using them in the first place.
Background music while trying to work will inevitably shift your attention between actually listening to the music, and the work you are supposed to do,and both will suffer.
There is no escaping that.
Just facts of how our brains work.
Cheers CC
Yes it even comes as a bundle in the Standard Version, unless your order the "naked" Version of the CA-1Awill we be able to use the new HP's with the Tl-1a?
CA1a feel better with glasses than SR1. I doubt that different pads would be needed, but let's gather the impressions first.I'm certainly not going to argue with that. But if I didn't listen while working, I'd be down to listening for a half hour a day at most. As it is, I get that half hour of prime listening, plus another 8-10 hours of listening while working. I count that as a win, at least until I'm able to retire and all time is prime listening time. To bring it back to this thread, I bet there are others like me, meaning there may be a market for pads that accommodate glasses-wearers.

If using a speaker amp, which input do you use? 32 or 16?
so I assume unlike the sr1a we wouldnt need to use the adapters?Yes it even comes as a bundle in the Standard Version, unless your order the "naked" Version of the CA-1A
Correct, the CA-1A doesn't require the baffle Compensation.so I assume unlike the sr1a we wouldnt need to use the adapters?
Well. if you have am 4 Watt/8 Ohms SET amp, use 16 ohms. If you have more than 10W at 8 Ohms, use 32 Ohm input. If using a speaker amp, which input do you use? 32 or 16?
And looking at the cable. Can I make my own cable for these? The super low impedance looks tricky, hard enough finding good wire for normal headphones.

We cut just laser-cut segments from the wedge shaped piece of memory foam.I did not mean Foam replacements, but Foam for the gaps, in case we want to Experiment with sealing the gaps.
I just assumed that they are cut out from the rest of the earpad.

The oval opening inside the pad is 79 x 55mm, or 3.1" x 2.2", so it's one of the largest out there.Would you mind sharing the dimensions of the cups? Width and length? Just trying to get a picture of how large the cups are and how they fit on my head / over my ears.

According to my measurements, inductance of Mogami cables is higher than specified.@Aleksandar R. Hmm. So avoid braiding.
What about quad mic type cables that have the conductors twisted internally?
For example, could you use the Mogami W2534 at around 2m length?

Ignore the shield unless you need that ? Likely to be stripped off.
And amp will be 100W+ at 8ohm. So just use the 32ohm input then?
