I wonder if they will keep the dual ribbon drive amp for pro use?

I think there is a logical reason for removing the second socket. Imagine two people next to each other listening to two sets of speakers. It wouldn't work ;"))

Local store in Seattle does not have Rogue Rh5 in stock.

No auditioning possible over there.

Thus I have to choose between Freya and MJ2.

Freya will be better as preamplifier but it uses 4 tubes that make tube rolling harder.

MJ2 may not be as good as Freya as preamplifier but using 2 tubes, it is easier to do tube rolling and it could drive HD 800s well (maybe marginally Abyss 1266 TC as a starting point).

What would you choose between Freya and MJ2 to give tube flavor to Jot R?

I've never heard a Freya but my MJ2 drives the Abyss, Utopia, and both HD800's just fine. But the 6SN7 type is a terrific sound tube and I personally prefer it over all the different 6DJ8's I own.

Thanks for your kind reply.
Can you use 6sn7 on MJ2 with adapter or not?

I had read that they can use 12au7 or 12ax7 on MJ2 with adapter.

I also have nice collection of 6sn7.

I consider using Telefuken 12ax7 on MJ2 with adapter.

I've never tried to so that should probably be fielded by someone who has.

What reasonably priced RCA cables are recommended to link the JOTR to a CHORD DAVE-HMS setup?? Thanks
I recommend you to use this cable lending service

https://fatwyre.com/

Choice of cable is dependent on personal taste and system matching.

Sr1a and Jot R sounds fast and open but close to hot.

If you contact them on the phone or e-mail, then they will recommend you to try out up to three different cables.

Then you may choose one among them after home audition.

Someone in other forum gave me clear answer,

You can’t run SN7 tubes off the MJ2 as amps being pulled are too high and may/will fry the amp. I’m not sure about the 12AX7s but with the right adapter that feed the 12AU7s = 6v you can run those and still be in spec.

Good, better safe than sorry.

I just purchased a pair of these. Does anyone have recommendations on a desk stand for these that doesn't crunch the cables on the desk surface? Seems like most of the pictures I've seen, the stands aren't tall enough. TIA.

Woo stand is very tall and well built.
