Why no one really care about Hiby R5 and MQA support? You guys don't use Tidal Hifi (with MQA)?

It's already passed September as promised by MQA, still, no update and no body raise this issue so why I think no one really care this news.

Clearly you do, and I am sure others do, too, though they may not be as impatiently watching their clocks. For me the first MQA unfold is enough, and the app already does that. I know I can’t hear the difference additional unfolds bring. And, when I can, I prefer the track on hi-res in Qobuz - no lossy compression like MQA, probably more out of principle than audio quality.

Anyway, note that development and testing takes time. Maybe they ran into a problem?

I want to see the comparision between R5 and ibasso DX160 which has the same dual DAC.

If problem occurs, why not announce to the public so we know the company didn't want to lie to customers. This is a bit serious for reputation of the company. Do not promise and just ignore if it fail. Be professional please.

I don't know exactly what problem they ran into, but I do know that there's a mandatory week-long holiday going on in China now starting from National Day on October 1st. So it may not be until after that that they can tell us exactly why the projected launch date was missed and when it can actually be launched.

A day, a week, these are considered lies...? Just checking on your expectations. As a suggestion... buy what’s available, and take future promises with grains of salt... you’ll be disappointed less often..

For some reason the treble area sound a little hot in this device specially hihats sounds

The junior had a better amp than the x1, and the m11 and r5 both sound close. The m11 is a touch wider and the bass more full but not as well controlled as r5. The r5 sounds more deep to my ears than m11. I do prefer r5 by a bit, but they are both really good, just depends on which strikes your fancy.

There is no absolute better one in sound quality. Best you hear them for yourself. And m11 has bigger screen and is smoother and faster, but doesn't have Google play- if you care about that.

I like r5 because of its size, and it's pretty much trouble free so far. Pros and cons to each one.

I agree, lots of nice stuff out and coming out. The r5 is just what I was looking for, I've got no interest in anything else except the new Sony coming out.

And that's just because me and Sony go way back in portable audio

I’d also like to say my thirst is now quenched but I probably can’t help but be a sucker for this stuff, cash permitting, and sometimes not permitting! Cheers
