That's unbeatable value IMO, I absolutely LOVE my R5 and recommend it very highly. I really can't imagine anyone being disappointed in it, even at full price. 200-odd quid is a great deal.

Yeah I completely agree. I would like to try other DAPs mainly to see what the differences are but I'm not needing to try any if that makes sense.

Listening to it now on an original R5. Lossless and hi-res are working as well (based on the sample rate indicator). No Atmos of course as the R5 doesn't have that capability.

Hi all.
Anybody have any luck or recommendation on where I might find a replacement battery for the R5?
Mine is out of warranty and sending it back to the factory for repair will take awhile and be expensive (estimate $100+/- w/shipping).

I assume it's the battery. The R5 restarts when I press play on music or podcasts, unless the charging cable is plugged in.
I don't stream, so all files are on the device or sd card.

Just curious, anyone knows if there are any news/rumors about R5 saber pro or R5 pro? I really like R5 especially its form factor though I kinda want more upgrade SQ-wise. Based on some comments and reviews, I'm not sure if R5 saber is worth it because it doesn't look like it's a real upgrade. Maybe the "pro" version is what I'm waiting for.

Does also R5 saber work with fast-charging?
