Hi everyone,

I just bought a pair of Denon AH-D2000Ks yesterday, and I have a quick question about the model number: what's the difference between AH-D2000 and AH-D2000K? What's the K at the end?

I bought my pair from Yodabashi in Akihabara, Tokyo, and the box reads AH-D2000K, but some box photos (and almost all English shopping results) show AH-D2000 as the model number. I'm just wondering if the K at the end has any significance.

Thanks,

CBG.

I know this is a few months old but does anyone know the answer to this?

In electronics, a "k" generally just signifies that the gear is black in color, I don't know why. Since the AH-D2000 only comes in black, it's a little superfluous, so maybe was dropped in the US?
