I have both the IER-Z1R and VX and I prefer the VX between the two in everything except for bass. IER-Z1R bass has a really nice texture that the VX can't compete in IMO.

I have an opportunity to get the qdc Geminis at a crazy steal, but they don't come with any tips. Do the Geminis have a standard tip diameter (that might fit spiral dots or similar tips)?

Also do the Geminis have more forward mids compared to the Andros? I demoed the andros and found the mids more recessed and lacking clarity than my preference.

Heres crin graph comparison, so i say gemini has most upper mid and less lower. Its been a long time since i had my gemini and demo andro, so I can't really say for sure.

and yes most tip should work with gemini

The bass is good, its strong and quick, doesn't bleed into the mids. The vent holes are good as they don't let the pressure build up.

Looks like the QDC Fusion (there is a nice promo at Musicteck BTW at 549$ )

Another top hybrid is the other Fusion by the way, the one from ItsFit Lab
