QDC - Discussion and Impressions Thread

Just happened to chance upon this thread on a sleepless night. For those interested in qdc gemini, do try both studio and concert version (they are very different!) . I demo-ed the Gemini-C and immediately surrendered my :credit_card:. Had also tried K10, Jomo Flamenco & 6v2, Gemini-S and a couple more all on the same day but Gemini-C win them hands down:muscle:. It is an iem which you could immerse in for hours and hours with zero fatigue. Soundstage, imaging, instrument separation, vocal intimacy, tight bass with good pressence, lush mids and zero fatigue treble. Own it for good few months and never fancied another iem... though a new cable had crossed my mind a couple of times:grin:

The lush mids and zero fatigue treble part turns me off.

I like my iems extremely detailed, exciting, with high energy treble. Laid back tunings are not my fancy.

Yup, it all boils down to individual preference. Just hope my post raise awareness that there are 2 versions of qdc Gemini.
Are you sure Gemini has 2 version? Live and Studio?
I think you may mixed up with 8ss, 8sh and 8sl?

Anole on nawazaV4 cable, eidolic pins and furutech rhodium plug
Added more air and body on its presentation
A definitely keeper for me

Would like to get a CIEM within <1000 USD. Any recommendation within this budget?

Crisp sounding mean not loose? haha
Not really sure about ciems but for universals try the k3003, it just sounds so crisp

Heya, Im new to qdc. In face new to high quality IEMS. started off with shure 215 and decided to try the neptune. God. Those things are a treat to the ears. Its like a HUGE step up from the shures.

Changed the stock cables to noctural Hydra V2 (not really fitting tip though) and body seems fuller and treble improved. Cant wait to save enough to try the 8SH.

Well, to be frank, the Shure SE215s are among the lowest quality iems I have heard so the Neptunes will definitely sound a lot better.

If you plan on buying a 8 BA QDC you might as well get the gemini.
