192khz seems to offer slightly wider presentation while 96khz is more forward sounding. I tend to favor 192khz with HD800.

So far, based on my listening over the weekend, I completely agree with you.

For me the 192 just sounds more airy and three demensional. The 96 seems more close in and "traditional" sounding maybe (possibly more realistic?)

I'm planning to buy DLIII, but I think I'll need an adapter as it will come from USA. Which adapter should I buy? are the DLIIIs in amazon.com 110 or 120v, so that I can understand if I need to but 220v>110v or 220v>120v.

Anyone running this DAC of their pc? There's options on my soundcard for 44.1khz, 96kHz I wonder if these settings matter. I have bit matched enabled so I think it doesn't matter?

If you go thru your usb i believe it bypasses the soundcard, that is how i used to do it now the usb goes to a converter on my set up and then feeds the digital coax port.

I have it coming out of the SPIDIF so it uses digital coax input.

I've just recieved my DLIII. I've not tested yet, but I wonder if a need a preamp before connecting it to my amp. Do you think this beast requires a passive volume control or something like that?

When I switch from 96kHz to 192 kHz I can't tell a difference at all with any songs. Something wrong with my DLIII or with me???
