So I'm thinking about renting a place that has a built-in audio system that works with an iPod dock and plays the music throughout the place. I don't own an iPod, nor do I enjoy having to use regular mp3 players since I don't usually bother with maintaining an updated collection of music on them and the music gets old fast.
What I'd like to do is somehow turn the audio system in the home into a networked DLNA compatible audio device where I could stream music to it wirelessly over my home network from a computer.
it sounds like an ambitious project and I was curious if anyone else has succeeded in this. I wouldn't even mind dedicating a netbook or something to handling the networking and such if need be.
