Prog rock

Call me a prog heretic, but I've recently found Experiments in Mass Appeal quite enjoyable (the 2020 remix version, never bothered with the original). Frost* has always been one of my favorites though. I guess Jem Godfrey's background in writing crummy pop songs makes his prog sound extra catchy to me (?) I much prefer newer prog with alternative influences, when compared to vintage stuff.

I've pretty much given up on vintage prog because it's too experimental, but I did buy the Steven Wilson remixes of Yes (24/92 from Qobuz) because it's about the most complicated prog I can test my setup with.

Happy Birthday Tom Sawyer! :)

Red Barchetta was the first song my dad had me sit down and listen to. I was hooked on prog ever since. My 24/96 master of Moving Pictures (Sector 2 box set, technically) to this day is my test album for new headphones.
