I get this digital static-like sound from time to time. Like crackling almost. Happens in music, movies, etc but never when nothing is playing. Can I fix this?

Its the headphone socket, do you have the newest version or the first?

I think I have the second revision, bass letters on the side.

I have the same problem, and just inquired with my dealer about warranty. I will post back when I hear something.
