The D2000 is $195 new on Amazon.
About a week or two ago it was $245. 
I just felt as thought I should let someone know.

The price is really jumping around on these. If anyone's thinking of getting them, I'd get them now. Yesterday, they were at 205 and then a couple hours later back up to 210.

Just get one. You most likely will not be disappointed. But let me summarize FWIR:
D2000: Heavy bass, recessed mids
DT770: Neutral but good all around

I've heard that the uDac and Little Dot 1+ combo do very well with the D2000s. Of course it depends on what type of sound you want. If you're looking at the DT770/80 Pro model I'd have to go with the Denon over it. The D2000 has a bit less bass quantity but better quality (not as boomy) and the mids aren't as recessed or the highs as bright. However, you do suffer from no isolation with the Denons.

I'm coming from using my AD700s, I was initially looking at grados but I do not want a brighter sound then I had with the ad700. D2000 has been the choice I have thought of since the only downfall of it for me is that it is a closed headphone.
 
Do you know if the mids are better in the d2000 than my current headphone?
