Tubes can sound quite neutral too, but that's another debate for another day..
 
 
I think that the gs1000is are very good. Better than the ps1000s.

I think if AKG were to produce a Top of the Line Flagship model, >$1000, it would easily trump all other headphpnes. AKG's headphones have superior sound to all other cans I've heard

everyone is enlightening/confusing everyone else when characterising a particular piece of gear...
when sound is really coming out of a composite setup ; thats how the fan/bash club arises.
Which makes this forum most interesting/agonizing.
 
And about the BEATs....it is spelled as ..oh i forgot how to spell that word.
