Thanks. I was pleased with the scenery pics, considering I didn't even get out of the car.

The "Bengal" cat breed is relatively new and was created by breeding some sort of domesticated cat with a wild "Asian Leopard Cat". I think it takes 5 generations of selective breeding to get them tame enough to be pets. They can be quite vocal, like Siamese, and do seem a little wilder than most cats. A friend of mine was recently divorced and his wife got the two Bengals they had so he bought 2 more kittens from the breeder we visited. They cost $2,500 each !! A little pricey from my perspective, but they are "show quality" and beautiful cats. My pics don't do them justice.

These are the wild cats that the domestic versions are bred from: http://www.abf90.dial.pipex.com/bco/lepcat.htm

Below are a couple more, not-so-good shots showing the Bengal's markings along with one of my friend's new kittens.

This time I actually got moving early enough to trek out for the sunrise itself. Of course I had to take a nap at noontime to keep going.

The shadow cast by the mountain on the clouds was quite impressive, as well as how it narrowed as the sun rose.
