Eeek, eye level.

I am about 5,10!

Where can you get an eye level tripod for $20? The cheapest i can find is $40, and that is 5ft

Yea, 5ft is what mine is. Roughly eye level, when you add the camera and bend down. ^_^

Shame shipping is $43. The one from deal extreme is $40, but shipping is free to the Uk, and worldwide.

Have to look elsewhere, otherwise DX is the best place, but still alot.

Hopefully itll improve some of the photos where i need a tripod enough to make it worthwhile.

I got this mini tripod for taking pictures of components at meets but it is excellent for flower and macro shots. I paid $19.00 for it, but is is being advertised for $1.99. It also swivels...it's perfect!
It has a universal thread for most cameras:

Shop Mini Tripod Stand for Nikon/Kodak/Canon/Sony camera DC from 1powershop.com.

Yup, mini tripods are great too in their own way!

MD1032, mentioning the Nikon 70-300mm lens, I decided to try it out today for fun.

At 130$, its such a nice lens!
Decided to take some pics of my cat (after I was not happy with the bird feeder).
I'm not used to having to back up so far, but thankfully it can zoom in quite nice.

I see you!:

(Taken at 122mm, F/5.6 for 1/10sec)

So elegant:

(Taken at 200mm, F/5.6 for 1/15sec)

Wow, and it can even zoom in closer! Gotta love telephoto lenses.

What a strange angle Steve, it plays tricks on my eye. Almost makes it look like a fisheye lens.
