What strikes me the most: I'm kind of a basshead and DT770 '05 often is described as bass-light. So that was my initial fear: that I was going to miss the delicious Darth bass.
I'm not hearing that. The bass on mine is nothing short of jaw-dropping

My Darths are now 600 ohm. I personalized them a little bit more:
 

 
They sound awesome. They sound so much quicker and cleaner compared with 80 ohm drivers, it's great. I love them.

Hmm...  what sort of difference does the 600ohm driver made?
 
I'm still happily using my VXD3 (cups covered with black leather) by the way, but the deal that is up (VXD5, Korina with 600ohm driver) is tempting. Should I pull the trigger and find out what the big improvement is?

I think the 600 ohm drivers sound much better - they make the cans considerably more natural sounding, IMO.

With the current one, you state that they feature DT990/600 drivers.. How do they compare to DT770/600 drivers?
