Hello, its been a while since I last posted here.
 
Recently, I've seen my friends get "full-size" cans to wear it out doors, personally I think that its just a waste of time because they do not even have a good source or an amp that powers it.
 
Anyways,it motivated me to think of upgrading my portable headphones: PX100 and PortaPro.
 
I have been looking around and HD25 caught my eye. As I looked into it, it felt that the cable was way too lengthy for an use with portable source.
 
My friend's V-Moda Crossfade had a detachable cable and there was two length, for home use and portable use.
 
It doesn't have to be like that but I'm looking for something with lines that are "controllable"
 
I like listening to Jazz, Ballad, Pop, Rock. I'm looking for something with the sound like IE8 or X10 (Since I have both of them)
 
It would be good if it was under 300USD.

If the cable length is your primary concern then you can reterminate them at a shorter length, or just do a recable.

I would love to do that if I could, but I lack both parts and skill to do so. Also I do not know anyone or some sort of a shop that can do it for me.

Does HD25 have detachable cable? Some are saying it is and some say it isn't. Is there a different versions of each?

yes, they do have detachable cables, both the 25-1 II and 25-sp.

Any other suggestions? upgrade from px100 or portapro. or is that like the epitome of outdoor headphones? I want more suggestions before I invest.
