DT 880 is more neutral while the DT 990 has a v-shaped frequency response with emphasized bass and treble. It's a matter of personal taste, but the DT 880 is usually the safer bet since a lot of people have issues with the DT 990's treble.

DT880 32ohm and maybe the 250ohm. From what I see, neither the DT880 Pro or Premiums are under $200. Only the DT990 Pro and DT770 pro 80.

Chose the ATH-M50s as this is my 3rd pair of headphones and definitely way better than anything I have owned before by a long stretch.
